Is Your Life A Squash And A Squeeze?
Hi Warmies!
This week, I've been enlisting email warm-up buddies ["Warmie!"] and since I’ve just enlisted them into a daily commitment or reading and replying, I thought I’d lighten the load with some humour and some seriousness about being over-subscribed.
A friend (one of my warm-up buddies—you know who you are!) inspired this after replying to my last newsletter.
Being over-subscribed reminds me of the wise man’s advice in A Squash and a Squeeze: when a woman complained her house was too small, he told her to bring in her chicken… then a larger animal each time she returned. Finally, he said, “Now take them all out!”—and suddenly, the house felt spacious!
Do I hear you say, “Wise old Wren, my life is a squash and a squeeze!”? 😉
I notice, life will sometimes feel spacious as things complete and new things begin. But this is a time for action, not complacency! Beware—“The world abhors a vacuum!” (one of my favourite sayings).
I've learned I need to be proactive and fill the space with something wonderful before someone fills it with a duty!
If there’s never space, make it. It won’t make itself. ❤️ Hard-learned wisdom!
I can hear you thinking there is no way to make space, but you'll be amazed by how much space appears when you have the flu, or when someone gets a cancer diagnosis!
Helen Johnson Cancer & Homeopathy Training Day
Leaning into this purposefully, I attended a cancer & homeopathy training with Helen Johnson last month. Our Homeopathy Is Changing Lives podcast episode featuring her airs on 3rd March. I sadly missed one with Hilery Dorrian but I'm hopeful she'll soon produce a course [she's listening :-)] ... and I'm still hoping to interview her for our podcast!

Helen's biggest message?
It is observed that people who succumb to cancer often let their energy haemorrhage—those ‘carcinosin’ types, the classic cancer personality. Sound familiar? Ones who survive a cancer diagnosis are almost exclusively those who start to give themselves the priority.
So, dear Warm-Up Buddy, your first email is a beautiful anti-cancer remedy: Create space. Don’t expect it to create itself. ✨❤️
